Strongest high school memory

What is your strongest memory from high school?

  • Strongest memory of high school would just be knowing everyone. I think that I can truly say that our class was first class. I do not know that any family members or friends outside of the high school experience had as much of a blast in high school as I did.
  • sports, parties, classes, great friends
  • There are so many memories of specific times but all of them had to do with laughing with my friends, learning things not found in a textbook, feeling carefree for the most part, sharing the sense that it was going to come to an end so trying to appreciate it. And wondering "what will happen next?"
  • Graduating with so many friends that I started school with.
  • Healdsburg had the best athletic program. I am so thankful I got to be involved in that. I also had some of the best teachers compared to those I had at the next high school I went to after I moved.
  • The false bravado only gets you so far!
  • Senior cut day and Grad night. Soda Rock lane and Geyserville Beach
  • my strongest memory is coming back from every summer vacation with a pact among my friends saying.."ok, lets NOT cut school for at least a week....", and then within the first week back headin over to TipTop for breakfast!!---it was all down hill from there! How'd we graduate?! How'd we get away with that?!!!!!!!!!
  • 4-wheeling along the river at night after dark with the tunes blaring in the background - 'I Think We're Alone Now' by Tiffany
  • Football
  • Performing a lipsync skit at the Snior Dinner Dance with all the girlfriends. We thought we were hot stuff!!
  • So many: winning the Freedom Rock air guitar contest, the graduation boat ride, spirit week when it became 'Peace Week' by an unnamed student!
  • Rallies and 1st boyfriends
  • Good times with all my family and friends
  • Sporting events and dances
  • I would have taken my educational opportunity more seriously
  • Mr. Ramirez, awesome M.E.S.A. teacher!
  • Grad night - what a blast
  • All the times that my best friend Ann and I went to concerts and parties on Fridays and Saturdays!! And graduation night on the boat!!!

Would you change anything?

If you had high school to do over again, would you change anything? If Yes, what would you change?

  • I don't think I would. A lot of the experiences I had back then have made me who I am today. I am successful and blessed with a great family. I have had the opportunity to travel the country with my career and I think that my high school years have contributed to that in one way or another.
  • date different people
  • I would worry less about the silly little things that only seem silly and little in hindsight. Now that perspective comes you realize that who asked you to the dance (using this as a metaphore here) seemed monumental at the time, but that an awful lot of angst was spent on such things. And, hate to admit this, but I would have spent more time studying. Except Chemistry.
  • No, because anything changed might mean that I wouldn't have met my wife and I would not want to risk that.
  • The relationships I had I wouldn't have let go of as easily!
  • I would not have had so many detentions with Jackie Biocca and with Ms. Hardaway!
  • Mostly---NO WAY!!!I had a blast!! But what else is new....I'm always having fun!!
  • I wouldn't sit in the front row of Mr. Berry's class!
  • Yes, going out with certain friends
  • Yes, be a little more outgoing i.e. get involved in clubs, sports, dances.
  • I'd be more sure of myself and not be so afraid!
  • Essentially no, but I would not work while I was going to school
  • Yes, I wish I had participated in a sport or a extra activity
  • No, high school was a great time in my life.
  • I love high school just the way it was!!

Looking forward to the 20th?

Are you looking forward to our 20-year reunion? Yes - No - Sometimes? Why?

  • Yes I am. Just a little nervous due to the fact that I have not seen anyone in so long. Since this reunion came up I have reconnected with many I have lost touch with. I can't wait. Hope I can make it out there!
  • Yes - it's always fun when that special group gets together.
  • Of course! Probably more so because I think we are at that age and at that milestone when the need to prove yourself type of stuff means less and we are advanced and confident enough to let down our guards and just enjoy one another's company. Now it's about "Wow! so great to see you!" and not "so what do you do for a living?"
  • Yes, I have not spoken to very many people since graduation. I want to reconnect with old friends.
  • I really hope I will be able to attend. I haven't seen anyone from the Class of '87 since I moved to Colorado during the middle of my Jr. year. I am a bit nervous though. It's been a long time since I have seen anyone and wonder if people will remember me since I didn't graduate from HHS.
  • Definitely, couldn't get to the last ones, don't know if I'll get to the next one, so need to make the most of the NOW!
  • I am extremely excited to go!
  • I am extremely!! I still see some of my favorite peeps on a regular basis...we get together often~which is so COOL!! But, I look really forward to seeing some of you that live a bit farther away and having a weekend of good times!! :))
  • Yes. There's a special place in my heart for my friends back in high school - those are golden times!
  • Yes. To see some friends.
  • Yes, Yes!! So that I can laugh and reminise with friends that I've kept in contact, to get re-acquainted with the ones I haven't and to acquaint myself with the one that I never got a chance to!
  • Yes. I am looking forward to catching up with old friends.
  • Yes, I am dying to see some of my old friends that I haven't seen in forever - some since high school.
  • Sometimes. I'm not as thin as I once was but I want to reunite with old friends.
  • I am looking forward to this reunion, our ten year not much changed. I know our twenty year will be more about being settled as a person with life experience, a career, and a family to talk about.
  • Yes. I'm glad I've moved back to Sonoma County. We just moved into a house we built in Bodega Bay and would like to get reacquainted with old friends. It's so beautiful here.
  • Yes - Can't wait to see what everyone looks like after 20 years.
  • Yes, very much so!!!

Come join us!

If you knew someone was on the fence about attending, what would you say to them to encourage them to attend?

  • Gotta go before it is too late. We are definitely not getting any younger!
  • Just go! Have fun, reconnect, reminisce, relax. It's not as if there are going to be pictures on some Web site! Oh...wait...hang on.
  • You only have your 20th once!
  • I would say go anyway. You won't know what you missed out on until it's too late.
  • Never know what's around the corner, live your life like it's the only one you've got!
  • Life is too short to miss out on this!
  • I'd say---Duh!! I'll be there--of course you dont want to miss that!!!! Lol! ;)~ D.Paskaly!
  • Think of all those people and past friends who will miss you ~ we want you there or we won't have as much fun. Everyone changes and that's what life's about.
  • Come have a great time - enjoy good food, drinks and memories at the most beautiful place on Earth...Healdsburg! It's easier than going to a party where you don't know anyone!
  • There's only one chane to go to a 20 year reunion. Better to go and to leave early than miss a potentially amazing experience.
  • Why wouldn't you go - you have nothing to lose and the potential for gain.
  • I would add we all have had some traumatizing event of some sort happen in high school, but we have all grown up to be very different people, 'well, let's hope so anyway'. It would be a shame to have regrets of not attending.
  • Seeing old friends again after 20 years is worth whatever you have to do to get there. You only get one 20-yr reunion.
