I've never considered myself the domestic type, so I found it surprising to realize that I enjoyed cooking. My maternal grandmother was a wonderful cook, entertaining the family weekly for Sunday dinners of old-fashioned, home-cooked meals. Bob and I now have our own Sunday dinner ritual, alternating weeks between my in-laws' home and ours.
I'm finding I like to search for new recipes and experiment, journeying into more and more difficult recipes. My famiy, thankfully, are willing taste testers. I've also begun compiling whole menu plans, looking for complementary foods, wines and desserts. I hope to soon take some culinary classes and expand my repertoire.

Most weekends Bob and I, along with a couple of other local regulars, hit the disc golf courses in and around Ukiah. There are three alone in Ukiah, with many others in the Mendocino, Lake, Sonoma and Marin counties. We play purely for the recreation, the exercise and the company, though in September of 2006, we did participate in our first PDGA (Professional Disc Golf Association) tournament. At one time, I wanted to be a writer. Since I didn't become one in my career, the narrated photo albums allow that creativity to flow. Most newsworthy items are sufficiently covered on the News pages with a few photos and a short blurb. However, some items call for more explanation or need more photos to help tell the story. For those, I've created photo albums...for our wedding, vacations, large events, etc. Hope you enjoy them!
Learn more about my racing 'career' as a NASCAR online driver. SIM (simulated) racing is a popular 'sport', allowing drivers to experience racing the tracks the pros drive on without the cost or the concern of being hurt when accidents occur. Danica Patrick isn't the only woman racer out there!
